Challenge test

DB Lab performs preservation testings (challenge tests) of cream, lotion, shampoo and other products for which documentation of the antimicrobial efficacy of the product or the preservatives added is demanded.

The tests are made according to the current edition of Ph. Eur. 5.1.3. Efficacy of Antimicrobial Preservation.

In the method mentioned above, the ability of the product to eliminate or inhibit specific test microorganisms over a period of 28 days is tested.
