Endotoxin analyses (LAL tests)

Endotoxins (lipopolysaccharides) from gram-negative bacteria can be detected in very low concentrations by the very sensitive LAL (Limulus amebocyte Lysate) test. Test for endotoxins in water, raw materials and finished products are carried out according to Ph. Eur. 2.6.14 Bacterial Endotoxins. We use the following tests: Gel-clot test (limit test/semiquantitative test) and the kinetic, turbidimetric method (quantitative test).
